I'll be uploading a bunch of deviations this coming weekend seeing as I just got back from Lake Tahoe/Death Valley/Las Vegas. I'll probably submit no more than 10 or 20, which is a really really tiny fraction of the 600 photos I took. But seriously, this vacation was awesome. Tahoe was beautiful and warm; even better, we stayed in a lake-front cottage that my uncle owns. Contrasting with the lush, moist, green scenery in Tahoe was Death Valley. If you ever go I recommend staying at the The Furnace Creek Inn. You'll have to go soon though because the entire valley closes in May (way way way too hot after then). When I went this week it was 120 degrees. There's a great road called the "Artist's Palette" where you get to see a whole spectrum of unusually vibrant but earthy colors in the rocks. The desert-like sand dunes, cracked clay fields, and dried salt beds are definitely worth seeing too. And then Vegas... so much to say. My dad surprised us with a 2,000 square foot hotel room with a kitchen, living room, dining room, three bathrooms, two bedrooms, and a hot tub. Even better, we saw the newest Cirque du Soleil show, KA. I don't want to give it away but it was absolutely incredible. The special effects, the music, everything. If any of you end up seeing it, however, you will get hot in the first few rows as there is a lot of fire and explosives. Happy Spring Break.
